Week 1
In order to improve myself as as student, I am going to target my weakest areas in order to find a suitable target to improve. I would like to improve myself as a student in order to make the assignments that I complete a higher standard, in order to improve the grade I will recieve at the end of this course. Currently I am working on developing some areas to improve, I have already begun this process by working on my PDP (Personal Development Plan). This is an assignment that requires identifying personal strengths and weaknesses, in order to make improvements and development your awareness of your strengths and weaknesses. This is a useful assignment to complete becuase it will aid me in completing this assignment, therefore improving the standard of this blog. Furthermore I have nearly finished completing this assignment, therefore I have a reliable understanding of the smart targets that I will produce and what they will be. Smart targets are a type of target (also known as goals) that involve identifying a personal weakness and using this area as a target to complete. This involves creating a procedure that details how the target will be completed and a completion date for the target to be completed by. This is a very useful process for employees or students to use for two reasons; firstly it teaches the user to identify their own weaknesses, because you can't improve if you aren't aware of your own weaknesses. Secondly because the targets allow the student or employee to improve and allow a method of development to be created. Showing the user how they can develop there skills and allowing them to feel comfortable about completing the target. This is one of the main reasons that I decided to use smart targets, because I am very confident about using them to improve myself as a student. Subsequently improving my work.
